COAST/BEACH:
Driving times to the following coastal attractions: 10 minutes to Coral Bay beach resort. 15 mins away from Peyia Sea Caves and 30 mins from the Akamas coastline and fishing villages. Paphos beach/harbour area (Kato Paphos) are 20 minutes in the opposite direction.
GOLF:
There are 4 golf courses nearby, including the brand new Elea, near Paphos opened in October 2010 by the course’s designer Sir Nick Faldo with its striking location above the Mediterranean sea. Alternatively both Minthis Hills and The Secret Valley golf course and Spa are about 30 minutes away and the exclusive Aphrodite Hills golf course is just a further 5 minutes by car. A golf driving range is a short drive away between Peyia village and Paphos.
SKIING:
The Troodos Mountains has a ski club and you can hire skis etc. If the weather is right, it is possible to go skiing and to the beach on the same day!
TRAVEL:
Paphos is the closest airport. Transfer time by car/taxi is about 45 to 50 minutes. To get the most from a holiday in Peyia a hire car is recommended. A meet and greet service from the airport can be provided if required at additional cost, depending on time of arrival and subject to availability. There is a taxi service from the airport. A new hourly bus service departs from Peyia village to Paphos.
DISTANCES:
Peyia village is a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk from our holiday apartments.
Driving times to the following attractions: Kato Paphos (harbour area), Paphos town and market 20 minutes. Paphos Water Park 25 minutes. Akamas Peninsula approx 25 minutes. Troodos Mountains approx 1 hour 30 minutes.
FURTHER DETAILS:
Cyprus is a well known attraction for divers with one of the best wreck diving sites of The Zenobia accessible on a day trip. There are many dive schools around the area offering reasonable rates to include both shore and boat dives.
Mountain bike hire is available in nearby Coral Bay with easy access to the beautiful and very peaceful Akamas Peninsula which also provides excellent walking opportunities.
Nearby Coral Bay and Paphos are very lively - so you have the best of both worlds to enjoy.
There are endless historical sites, churches and charming villages all within a comfortable drive.
There is the amazing Lara bay, where the turtles come to lay their eggs at night.
Latchi Harbour near Polis is a delightful place to visit where you can enjoy a boat trip or hire a boat yourself and eat at its scrumptious seafood restaurants dotted around the marina. Don't forget to call at Kathicas on the way
Above Paphos is the village of Tala which now boasts a new church
The whole of Paphos is a World Heritage Site with the most exquisite msaics and Roman remains, the Odeon, the Lighthouse and the Tombs of the Kings.
